On-going Scene Study

Scene Study is an actor's gym for honoring your craft and expanding your creative skills. It's a safe place to support your acting habit, and turn it into a lifestyle. Play, fail and get excited about the work, keep growing towards your full potential as an artist.

Structure

There will be 4 classes over the course of 2 weeks. Everyone will be assigned a scene and a scene partner to work with one week prior to the start of class. All actors are expected to have read the play and be very familiar with the lines, preferably off-book. Actors are encouraged to rehearse outside of class, but this is not mandatory. We will focus on thext analysis, character analysis, and where the story meets the actor.

About the teacher

Born in California, raised in Colorado, Annelise moved to New York when she was twenty to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After AADA, she completed my undergrad in Drama Therapy from Goddard all the while attending ongoing scene study classes at the T. Schreiber Studio, Ron Stetson Studio, Joan Rosenfels Studio, Ken Schatz Studio, and The Freeman Studio. She has her MA from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has studied Meisner at the Salon Collective in London.

“I believe that being an actor is more than a profession, it's a way of life, it's a psychological and physiological practice; a deeply aesthetic and honest approach to our relationships with each other, the world, and the narrative that gives meaning to our lives.”

-Annelise Bianchini

What is it?

An actor's gym for toning and sculpting your creative skills. A safe place to support your acting habit, and turn it into a lifestyle. A way to get back on track with your dreams and reaffirm your love of the craft. Play, fail, and get excited about the work. Here you can keep growing towards your full potential.

Who is it For?

For the dedicated actor who wants to level up. For the actor who's art-hungry soul isn't sustained by a few minutes in the audition room between gigs. This is for the actor who is curious, who wants to delve into the truth of the moment and be surrounded by hard-working peers; who wants to be challenged, who wants to play, create and explore.
