BIRTHDAY SUITE, a comedy by Robin Hawdon
STEPHEN CHANCE (Tony)

Stephen trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He has appeared in 125 theatre productions, from Pinter to panto. Most recently he has been playing St. John Quartermaine in QUARTERMAINE'S TERMS at Farnham Rep, and filming CAROUSEL—winner of the Grand Prix at the 2009 Cannes Advertising Film Festival. Other recent parts include Billy in the world premier of NO GYPSY CHILD OF MINE; Michael in Don DeLillo’s VALPARAISO; Maximillian Kolbe in the world premier of KOLBE’S GIFT; Mohammed Smith in the world premier of GUATANAMO BAYWATCH; Sherlock Holmes in THE FINAL CASE; Maxim de Winter in REBECCA; Orsino in TWELFTH NIGHT; and Scarecrow in THE WIZARD OF OZ. Television appearances include episodes of THE BILL (ITV) and GENIE IN THE HOUSE (Nickelodeon), and an advertising campaign with the Spice Girls. He has performed in several DOCTOR WHO audio adventures and on BBC Radio, and recently made his feature film début in THE SHADOW WITHIN. Stephen appeared previously at The English Theatre in I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES in 2003, LONDON SUITE in 2005, and DOUBT and CAUGHT IN THE NET in 2008. He is thrilled to be back.
VERNON BASS (Bob)

An actor/singer/musician, Vernon trained at Rose Bruford College. Since then he has accrued a wide range of credits in both film and theatre. Stage roles include Silvius in AS YOU LIKE IT, Billy in THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE, Eric Birling in AN INSPECTOR CALLS, Stan in Neil Simon’s BROADWAY BOUND, Phillip Steiner in VICTIM at Pentameters Theatre and most recently the Psychiatrist in NOT STALKING DAVID TENNANT at the Edinburgh Fringe where he also performed in the stage adaptation of CRIMES OF PASSION in 2005. His roles in DON’T MESS WITH THE MIME and JUST ANOTHER WEEK have been screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
SUSAN CASANOVE (Kate)
Susan trained at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. Theatre includes Celia in AS YOU LIKE IT and Maria in TWELFTH NIGHT both at The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival, Mustacha in TOM THUMB THE GREAT at The Rosemary Branch Theatre, Louise in SHOES at The Hampstead Theatre, a T.I.E. (Theatre In Education) tour of Italy and numerous new plays on the London fringe. Her first television appearance was as an evil alien school nurse in the DOCTOR WHO episode, ‘School Reunion’. Susan has acted in several radio plays, most recently LEAVES IN AUTUMN for the Wireless Theatre Company which she also wrote. She is delighted to be returning to Hamburg for the second time having previously played the role of Kelly in GAMEPLAN in the winter of 2006-07.
JAMIE MENARD (Dick)

Jamie grew up in Taiwan, Korea, the United States and the UK. He gained a degree in Music specializing in Classical Guitar and Voice from the University of Colorado before completing his training as an actor at Drama Studio London. He made his professional debut in Colorado at Germinal Stage Denver, playing George in SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, Braham in THE PHILANTHROPIST and Bill in THE COLLECTION. This year he spent four months in Denmark with the English Theatre of Copenhagen, playing Hamlet and various other roles in THE CRAZY CHRISTMAS CABARET at the Glassalen Theatre in Tivoli Gardens. Most recently he was Castor in JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS and Aegeus in MEDEA for The Steam Industry's outdoor summer season at The Scoop, More London. Jamie is delighted to be making his German debut with The English Theatre of Hamburg.
KATIE KENSIT (Liz)

Katie is delighted to be returning to Hamburg having previously played the role of Paige Petite in the theatre's production of ROLEPLAY. Following her training in London at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) Katie has worked in theatre, film, television, commercials and voiceovers. Theatre includes London productions of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, THE SNOW QUEEN, THE MISER and British tours of SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER and THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP. Television includes EASTENDERS and THE SECRET LIFE OF MRS BEETON both for BBC TV. Film work includes the award winning ARNOLD PORTRAIT and AFTER LONDON. Katie is a regular contributor to the comedy sketches on CHANNELBEE playing a variety of characters, some of which can be viewed at www.channelbee.com.
